At Image Clear Ultrasound, we know walking onto our mobile clinic bus for the first time can feel overwhelming. You may have a lot of questions, and that’s completely okay.

We’re here to walk with you, support you, and help you understand what’s happening in your body and your life. These are some of the questions we hear most often from women who walk onto our bus.

About Your Visit

What is Image Clear Ultrasound?
We’re a state-licensed mobile medical clinic that offers free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, and a safe place to learn about your options. We also help connect you with local resources in a confidential, judgment-free environment.

How long does a visit usually take?
Most visits take about 45 minutes to an hour.

Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?
No appointment needed, just walk in! Since our location can change, we recommend calling or texting 334-202-4994 to double-check where we’ll be before you visit.

Is this really free?
Yes. All of our services are 100% free, including pregnancy testing and ultrasounds.

Can I bring my partner, friend, or mom with me?
Absolutely. You’re welcome to bring someone you trust for support.

Is this confidential?
Yes. Your visit and information are kept private and confidential.

Pregnancy Testing & Ultrasound

Can you tell me if I’m really pregnant?
Yes. We provide lab-quality pregnancy testing to confirm pregnancy.

I took a test at home; do I need another one?
We still recommend testing with us to confirm and document your results.

Can I get an ultrasound if my test was negative?
Usually, no. A positive pregnancy test is needed before an ultrasound.

How far along am I?
An ultrasound helps estimate how far along you are in your pregnancy.

Can you give me a due date?
We can provide an estimated due date based on your ultrasound.

Is the ultrasound safe?
Yes! Unlike X-rays, ultrasounds use sound waves instead of radiation and are considered very safe.

Does it hurt?
No. An ultrasound should not hurt. You may feel light pressure, but it’s usually very comfortable.

Will I find out if it’s a boy or girl?

No. The ultrasound is used to confirm your pregnancy, detect a heartbeat, and determine how far along you are. It is not used to determine your baby’s gender.

Can I get ultrasound pictures?
Yes! We’re happy to give you an ultrasound photo to take home with you.

Medical & Safety Questions

Is this really a clinic? Is it safe inside?
Yes. Our mobile clinic is clean, professional, and designed for medical care. We are a state licensed mobile medical clinic.

Who works here? Are you real nurses?
Yes. Our team includes licensed medical professionals and trained staff.

What happens when I go on the bus?
You’ll be greeted by our team, complete paperwork, receive a pregnancy test, and (if positive) have an ultrasound and time to talk through your questions.

Do I need insurance?
No. You do not need insurance for our services.

Can I get an ultrasound if I’ve already seen an OB doctor?
No, we cannot see you if you already have an OB doctor.

I’m bleeding or cramping. Can I get checked?
No. Heavy bleeding or severe cramping can be signs that you may need medical care, so visiting the ER may be necessary.

Can you tell me if my baby is healthy?
We can share what we see on the ultrasound, but we do not replace prenatal medical care. We always encourage ongoing care with an OB provider.

Understanding Your Pregnancy

What is an ultrasound?
An ultrasound uses sound waves to create an image of your baby and uterus. It helps confirm pregnancy and estimate gestational age.

Why do I need an ultrasound?
An ultrasound can:
• Confirm the pregnancy is in the uterus
• Check for a heartbeat
• Estimate how far along you are
• Help you understand your options

What is the earliest I can see a heartbeat?
A heartbeat may be visible around 6–7 weeks, though this varies.

Can you tell me the exact date I got pregnant?
We can give an estimate based on gestational age, but not an exact date.

Support & Options

What do you offer?
We offer free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, and someone to talk to about your options and next steps. We can also help connect you with helpful local resources, all in a supportive, judgment-free environment.

Can you tell me what I should do?
No—we won’t pressure you. Our role is to support you and give you reliable information.

That’s completely okay. Most people who come to us aren’t sure yet. We’re here to listen, answer your questions, and help you understand your options so you can make the best decision for you.
